Points: 16.07 Donate | | Changing the wavy lines to something else I wanted to know if it was in anyway possible to modify the moving background(the wavy lines) on the psp to something totally different
and what is the file in the firmware that creates the wavy lines

Points: 214.11 Donate | | | The effect is generated by "system_plugin_bg.rco". You can disable them, and you can change the background, but no alternate effects as-of-yet. The code is embedded deep inside the encrypted file, and we are not sure quite what it is. It may be a transparent animation, or perhaps just code.
If we could change it, (Requiring decryption, alteration, re-encryption), it would be something very similar. After all, what other effects could you possibly apply? Most effects would probably require a 3D engine, or an impossibly complex series of files and code. Even then, you've got the problem of the size limitations (Probably impossible to bypass).
So, on the whole, a new background effect seems fairly far-fetched as the situation lies. Sorry! | |
