Question Memory Stick - Sony or Sandisk?

Hey everyone,

I ordered my Sandisk 2gb memory stick last week, and the company that sold it to me have sent an email to me saying that my order was lost in a server failure and asked me to re-order it.

Except, they said that there will be a 5 GBP discount if I stick to the Sandisk, but for 9 GBP more, (Including the discount), they said that they will send me a Sony one instead.

So, is it worth paying 61 GBP for a Sony stick, or should I get a 52 GBP from Sandisk?
(Sorry about the GBP thing, there's no pound sign on the danzeff keyboard )

Nope - the site says that they both have a 15mb/s read/write speed, so I think they're almost identical in terms of speed.

In what way are Sony's ones better? (It must be something because there is a 15GBP difference!)

Okay, I'll go for the Sandisk But, you know the trouble I had with Devhook and my memory stick corrupting? Well, they didn't stop when I used your dump, Monkeyboy. I'm worried that the problems will continue if I buy another Sandisk, because my current one is a Sandisk.

I dont know what happened to your stick, but its not all sandisks, must have just been yours, and why get a 2gb when you can get the 4gb?, and ive given my dump to alot of people with sandisks and they never have probs, and i have a sandisk too

Okay, I'll get a Sandisk. However, a 4GB would be cool, but it's fairly expensive. I'll hunt around a bit and see what sorts of prices I can find.

Thanks for the help

Thanks - I'm probably going for the Sandisk 4GB. According to Picstop (A cheap and reputable place I found), it's due to be in stock tommorow
So, I might order that. One more thing, though. What's the difference between the normal and the 'Gaming' Sandisk memory sticks?
