PS1 Games On PSP Confirmed

Just to let you know, I dont know if you already read this but its confirming that the PSP will play PS1 games, Not pointless pictures or peoples lies about it!!

Heres the convo:

GS: Now, in regards to the PlayStation One games that PSP owners can download, will we see that this year?

KH: The plan is to bring that this year, as close to launch as possible, as we start embarking on our online initiative. Again, the sooner we can bring that, those titles out to the market, the better. Obviously, we certainly are not going to have 1,200 titles come out at once.

GS:
Of course.

KH: You also need to realize that some of the games just don't translate well onto a PSP environment, games that require the use of the two analog sticks, for example. That requires some thinking as to how you want to do that in a PSP environment. So there are some limitations from that perspective as well. But the plan is really to have something day one, or as close to day one as we can.

This is going to be cool, I wonder what they'll do with games that need two analog sticks though, or L2 or R2? It will be interesting to see if they can get around these obstacles.

Maybe another analog stick that plugs into the usbport, which is then regonized by a driver that is in one of the updates.

HOW UGLY
HOW UGLY WOULD IT LOOK LIKE! LOOOOOOL

and they couldnt do it on the same lvl as the other analog stick so it would just suck to play with it ..the only thing i can think of are 2 analog sticks connectet with usb - maybe with the handles from a ps controller

Actually, it wasn't. All they did was show that Ridge Racer was playing on a PSP. Could've been a port, for all we knew.

If it does happen, I wonder how it will be. Different from the orignals most likely. I hope the graphics look as good as before. It would be awesome to play PS1 games on psp as long as nothing is distorted and no quality lost.
