u need a router and certian games like socom and twisted metal what ur in is when u need another psp with in 100 feet of u doing the samething

Do you have cable or dsl internet? If so, then yes, that is a router.....

As for the original questions, the games you mentioned only support Ad Hoc multiplayer mode.

You need games with an Infrastructure mode (ex: Socom) to play through a router.

There is a solution to this, but it is not a very good one.

Xlink Kai. It lets you play any game, but not many people are usually playing and you also must hack your Linksys router firmware, and then only allowing either your computers or your psp to go on the web. Can't have both at the same time. I tried before I knew I had to hack my router firmware,which I was not ready to do. It's not really worth it from how few people were playing.

no that is not a router a router is something in ur house that is small and has a small antenna sticking out of it do a scan on ur psp to check if there is a router around

i dont have one then but u do not need a router u can have a wireless acces point

a wireless acces point is a router unless you go to some coffe house to use that as a hot spot otherwise u can use someone elses router that lives by u thats what i do sometimes go to network connection and scan for a acces point.
