Yep, it's true. But I think you're all making a mistake - Files in any way associated with the TIFF exploit on 2.0 (the old one) are always labelled as a Trojan by antivirus software, the MPH downgrader included.

agreed, but the actual virus shouldn't affect you "game" folder it would have affected you critical system prx's which would result in the psp not starting up, and as long as you download from respectable website i.e. psp3d pspupdates etc the files should be virus free you just need to disable your antivirus temp.

What you need to do is:

1. Hold R while booting to enter RECOVERY
2. Enable USB
3. Browes to /Psp/Game/RECOVERY
4. Place the DATA.DXAR in this folder, (DATA.DXAR, This is the file you made while updating to 2.71 (Se_b2) should have BACKED this up)
5. Then click "Run program at /Psp/Game/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP

Then you are back to 2.71 (Se_b2)

Can u acsess the /game folder from computer because if u can recovery mode should work evan if u cant load homebrew just put the flasher for recovery in there in a folder called RECOVERY and then get a 1.5 official update name it update put that in there boot the psp in recovery (hold the r button after a restart when it starts up) scrool to boot psp/game/recovery exacute it and it should be a safe easy downgrade. (make sure u have 75% battery and ac adaptor connected). ps i may have understood the problem please don't have ago if u already new all of that or if its of no use atall.

I always keep the Data.DXAR on my psp if anything goes wrong, If im not at computer, im able to fix it where ever i am.
