Points: 39.09 Donate | | Help plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :( Hey, I bought a new PSP off eBay.
It was sold as faulty it cost £75. The problem is:
The PSP will not turn on with the battery.
It will turn on if you have it connected to the mains.
BUT it will not turn on if you have the battery in well it is plugged to mains.
Any idea's, any one else had this problem?
I have bought a new battery but to be honest I am doubting that will make a difference, why would a PSP not turn on whilst the battery is in, even though its plugged to the mains also.
I personaly have no idea, The PSP version is 1.52...
BUT can not be downgraded because it needs a battery plugged in.
Please leave your suggestions / what you think the problem with it is / if you have had this problem before / any general help realy!! Thanks

If you turn the PSP on with AC and no battery, then put the battery in, will it work, or black out? |

I orderd it tonight, I still think its a bargain for £75 inc delivery.
Just figuring out how to fix it..
I hope a new battery does the job :S
Whats the worste most expensive thing that it could be?
Also.... If when I put it back in and it blacks out what would this mean?
And then it happend to a new battery?...

The most expensive the repair/supply costs would be is probably around $10-20. That's if you do it on your own, and if the battery doesn't solve it.
I guess it doesn't make a difference now that you've purchased it. Can I have a link to the auction, please? |

And to fix the connectors, you'd probably only need some metal prongs or something. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll try looking for a guide or something. |

This help is very very apreciated!!
P.S. I know about the battery I thought that also, BUT all the rest were fake imports from japan which I trusted even less.. |

Okay, so I guess we just....wait.
Wait.
Wait.
By the way, here's an internal power connector sale page, along with plenty of other things for sale. Just in case that part might be causing the problem. PSP Internal Power Connector Xbox Repair Guide :

"PSP Battery Connector Repair"
We should probably wait before going any further. I think we're thinking too hard about this. | |
