Yes, I know. I should have been waiting since Wednesday. Should have been in line, on a chair, in the rain and the cold.

Long story short, all stores in my area were sold out of ps3's by 8:33 am, with lines of people still waiting.
Estimates of the next shipment of ps3's were "sometime in Jan", "Hopefully before XMas", and "Yeah, Jan, maybe March."

I was at the mall before most stores were even unlocked, checking ANYPLACE with electronics, phones, or electricity, to see if I could find a waiting list for a waiting list for a preorder for Jan...

SO, here is what I managed to find searching Goog news:

1. Someone held up a ps3 line, and shot a guy who refused to pay his money.
2. Someone was followed from a midnight release and had his car broken into.
3. 4 ps3's were stolen from a store (Guys not found yet).
4. Guy held off on buying a marriage ring.
5. Woman tried to delay birth to keep place in line.
6. ALMOST ALL THE GUYS BUYING THIS CONSOLE ARE SELLING IT ON EBAY.
Highest price I have seen was 89million, (obviously a fake bid), highest legit bid so far is 10 grand.
7. People are paying homeless people to buy the console (In japan, the first 10 were unable to speak Japanese).
8. People shot with bb's in line, police run through line chasing a rapist.
9. Megafight infront of a Super Store of Walmart for ten chairs of happyness
N. Most people are idiots, the rest are morons. If I have to hear one more person say "I don't know why anyone would want one of them gameing things"... well, God help me.

As to those of you here wanting a ps3, I have actually found some hopeful/possibly untrue news:

Jack Tretton, executive vice president at Sony Computer Entertainment America, said retailers will be receiving new PlayStations daily - expedited by plane rather than ships.

I will check out BestBuy tomorrow morning just in case, but I do not know if I can believe this honestly..

I would have sex with ... Actually, no, I wouldnt do that for a PS3. I really want one though, but I have to wait 'till May for my 60GB Next Gen bundle of happieness.

I was doing the same searching for news like that, its kinda intresting lol, also i read that when some people actually bought the PS3 they were terrified to go out the shop and i had to think of a plan to get home and i read that some muggers tried charging into Walmart to try and nick one! oh and that person got shot, is now fine, he got shot in his shoulder

But Anyway, this is crazy! And people say hardly anyone would buy the PS3 cause of the price

Even tho i would be tempted now to i would keep the consel

My Friend skipped three days of school and camped outside Wal-Mart just for one of these things, best way to buy it for 600$ is from from the guys who stole em.
