A brick is where the internal system software (firmware) on the FLASH0 sector of the NAND flash chip becomes corrupted, and the PSP can no longer boot correctly.
You'll need to find the problem yourself, or you've got two other options:
-Send the unit to Sony and have it repaired, getting your PSP updated to the latest firmware;
OR
-Buying the UMD drive parts, voiding your warranty and installing them. |

My UMD reader stoped reading UMD's once but I just touched the lens a bit to another side and it started reading. It seemed to be stuck. |
