Points: 2.51 Donate | | Update question. I was wondering, what would happen if you were updating using a sony offical update, and took out you'r memory card while it was updating? Would it brick, or would it ask you to put it back in? I don't want any one to try this because it might brick. If you have a mod chip installed, i im going to ask you to test this, You don't have to if you WANT. I was just wondering. Thanks

Points: 21.55 Donate | | | thats a good question it depends if the psp has copied it to the ram or not, but im sure with D_A's generic downgrader at the begining it copies the 1.50 update to the ram and you can remove you memstick when it says so

"The Update Failed. The Memory Stick has been removed."
Well, something like that. At least, that's what you get when you take it out during the intro screens. |

Points: 2.51 Donate | | | well, i was thinking that is sony was smart, it would copy some files to the flash from the ram. Like recovery files. So you can put a update on the card, and it would run it. It was just a thought though. |

Points: 21.55 Donate | | sony would rather you brick it and they reflash 2.81+ firmware to your flash than some potential exploit of a recovery option. and sony smart yeah right the only truely smart person for psp updating is dark_alex who gives the scene what they want in a firmware
