| | | | Memory slot light just flashing I have a couple of PSP, one which has a faulty UMD drive and the other which has been bricked. I have taken the motherboard out of the PSP with the faulty UMD driver and put it into the one with the bricked motherboard. Everything appeared to go well and I can now play my UMD games. When I went to put in a memory card, the light just flashes constantly and the PSP reports that there isnt a card in the drive. Is stipped it all down a couple of times and even tried the UMD board from the bricked PSP but still the same. the drive was OK before this because I had just upgraded to 3.03 OE-A.
Anyone got any ideas? |

| | | | hmmm, just tried that. I have a 2GB sony stick that I am using in the rebuilt PSP and a 4GB sandisk stick in my sons PSP. The 4GB stick works fine in my sons PSP. Neither sticks will work in the PSP that I have been repairing (flashing orange light). The Sony 2GB stick wont work in my sons PSP either, although it was this morning because I used it to upgrade his PSP to 3.03 OE-A.
I cannot format it from the XMB because it doesnt think there is a stick in the slot. I have tried formatting it with my PC (fat16) but that hasnt made any difference.

p.s. if you put the board back with the broken umd drive does the ms slot work if so see if you can swap the ms pro slots over as well, good luck
