Battery questions

Hi,
I just wondered if any of you know what is best to keep your battery working for longer,

is it best to wait for it to empty before recharging
or
is it best to never let it deplete and charge it many times per day
thanks

Don't worry about it. I've never really taken my battery's health into much consideration and I've never noticed any negative side affects.

It's composed of Lithium Ion cells so as long as you fully charged it before using it the first time, you're fine. I always charged mine every night and I never noticed any weakening of it.

what i think is that every battery life goes down, meaning that it will lose its ability to store energy. but for the psp's, it will take a long time to lose the space. maybe about 4 years. just a guess.

I would say thats a pretty good guess. It should start losing storage capacity after around 3-4 years.

About 400 times an year. So after 1000-1200 recharges it should start wearing down.

Proper care of your battery will also ensure longer battery life.

For example, never leave your PSP in extreme heat or cold. Try to leave your PSP in a dry environment (good for PSP hardware and battery). Don't use after-market chargers. Do not leave your PSP's battery totally depleted for extended periods of time. Do not leave the charger in the PSP for extended periods of time when it's fully charged.
