Sure that is possible, your friend is doing something wrong. Never had any problems. The only type of movie that the PSP supports is .mp4

Why forget homebrew.
Homebrew allows you to play more file formats of movies music pics than sony even expected.
However its not my choice to force you into not leaving homebrew.
2.6 has no problems of running videos. Whether there MP4 or AVC.
Jus make sure theyre correctly organised.
MP_ROOT/100MNV01/Your videos.
They have to be named....
M4VXXXXX.MP4
X=random number.
Also make sure theyre properly converted at 29.97 frames per/sec.

I am planning on switching because I think that the games are so good that they are well worth the money. homebrew is good but it is not a good enough reason for me not to be able to play my legit games. when i downgrade my legit games tell me to upgrade. Can't win ! if you cant beat em join em !

You have a point but hackers will find ways to let you play your latest games without upgrading.
Its just a waiting game as i said before.

Apart from homebrew support (and exploitable TIF libraries). Sony do not remove features from firmwares when they update them

dont get mad at him. it is kind of confusing the first time you try to put videos on. yes, they will play. make sure the mp4 is named something like MNVXXXXX, where the Xs are just numbers. and place the files in MS:/MP_ROOT/100MNV01. hope this helps

Thats why its easier to have a Video Transfering Program. WHICH PRETTY MUCH COMES WITH EVERY CONVERTER OUT THERE. Im mad at the fact, that instead of taking 2 seconds to google psp video transfer to search for a solution he posts here. HOW HARD IS IT TO USE GOOGLE PARKER?
