Wifi switch broken..

Hey

I broke my Wifi switch... unluckily, it was in the off position at the time. The actual silver switch broke, and the tiny 'T' shaped thing (I assume it's the actual switch) has come out too.
I've tried switching it with a pin, but I can't seem to find anything. Also, the second time I tried, I think I shorted it - it wouldn't turn on, though it had full battery, and it still didn't work with the battery out and the AC in.

Is there any way of toggling the switch manually? I suppose I could open it up, but I'd rather not.

It sounds like you are screwed. The only way to possibly fix this is to open up your psp. Or send it back to $ony if it is still under warrenty.

Wow, that's a bit of a bummer. You'll need to open it up if you ever wanna use Wi-Fi with homebrew again. Send it to $ony, and you'll get upgraded to 3.50. They have a policy that requires them to update every PSP they repair.

Yea that really does sux... You can always try to find that part on the net for the PSP. Then open up the PSP and replace it. Which seems like the only solution at least to me.

Actually, I should've really said that the I managed to get the PSP working again after the short or whatever it was.
It's just the switch. It's a bummer because I only really use the PSP for Wifi and for testing homebrew for people (alot of them require WiFi... gah).

There must be some way to trigger it with software, unless the switch physically won't allow it to go on.

if your handy with a soldering iron you could bridge the switch with solder to make it permantently on, or try to replace it. but as you always use wifi bridging it would be better as theres less chance of melting something while putting a new one in and you shouldn't need to remove the old switch.

Bah. This is why I hate Wi-Fi switches. Shouldn't even be there in the first place. Mine keeps messing up. It'll probably end up like your's is.
