Jammed Memory Card Slot

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and am looking for some advice please.

A small piece at the end of my Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo card appears to have broken off inside my PSP.

Although I can still put the memory card in and out, it will not allow me to insert any new memory cards as I suspect the small part that has broken off is still clipped into position - hence I can put the broken card in but any other card will not lock into place.

Any ideas on the easiest way to get this broken part out (preferably without having to open up the PSP).

Cheers

Well, I don't know about w/out opening the PSP. But you can try this. Take off all the screws except the one that is under the black label thing. (which is the screw located in the battery slot) And then try to shake it around to get it to break free. Then put all the screws back on. This is so that way you don't void the warrenty. Or you can try to put something small enough to fit into the slot and make sure it is tough enough to resistance, then move it around until it releases the part.

Hold a torch over the empty memory-card slot. Then hold a pin and try to break the broken piece free off its fixed position. [like a tooth-pick ]
