Can you run any other homebrew? And are you trying to update via Network Update or with an eboot? Also is your UMD scratched at all?

the umd isnt scratched at all its brand new, when i run it the screen just goes blank, and you can hear it start spinning but then it just stops and the screen stays blank... I tired to update via network update 5.51, which i i know now i cant do but not even sure how to update, when i tried to downgrade to 1.50 it wont do anything. Unless i downgraded wrong,im kind of lost at what to do at this point.

Can you run any homebrew like an emulator or a homebrew game or anything similar to that?

I did have an emulator running on it before, but they appear to be cleared out cuz i dont see them

(Update)

I was able to upgrade to 3.03 OE-C firmware using a simple installer I found, but I still can get this flipping game to play, all i get is balnk screen after i select the umd. The green light is on but nothing no sound no game. I can hit the home button and exit out.. The game has a software update for version 2.82, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

any help would be great

Well you have the correct firmware to play the game. I think the solution to your problem might lie in which kernel you have selected. Coldboot your PSP and hold R when you turn it back on to go into recovery mode. Then go to configuration and change the kernel. That might help.
