| | | | Currently on OFW 2.71, want to update to OFW 6.10 but.... I am currently running on OFW 2.71 (NOW 3.03 per below update) on a PSP Fat (TA-082 MB). I want to update to the current OFW 6.10. However, when I copy the 6.10 update file to my memory stick and attempt to run the update I get the following error...........
"The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance. (DRNFFFFFFD7)"
A little background:
- I had CFW 3.52 M33-3 running on 2 different PSPs.
- I installed and ran HellCat's Recovery Flasher 1.60 on each of the 2 PSPs to get my firmware back to OFW 1.50. This was successful on both PSPs.
- The OFW 6.10 update then ran successfully on one of the PSPs but I receive the above error on the other.
- I was able to update to OFW 2.71 from the Madden 07 UMD on the 2nd PSP but still cannot update to OFW 6.10.
Any suggestions on what I need to do to get the 2nd PSP up to the OFW 6.10 update would be greatly appreciated.
T.I.A.
================================================== ============
Latest update...........
I've been able to incrementally update from 2.71 > 2.80 > 3.03 OFW.
However, I seem to have reached a roadblock now. Haven't found anything I can install that will not throw the same message that I receive from my above posts.
This is strange that it's letting me incrementally update (at least it was).
As before, I'm open to any other suggestions. Don't really want to have to purchase a Pandora battery or anything. Also, not sure if I'll be able to get any CFW back on this thing. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks!

or try looking up a PSP key cleaning and running it. I heard about it a long time ago so I don't remember much about it. You will also probably need Custom Firmware for that

If you read my initial post you can see that going to OFW 1.50 and then going to OFW 6.10 is exactly what I did with the first of my 2 PSPs. However, once I downgraded to OFW 1.50 on the 2nd PSP and tried to go to OFW 6.10 from there that when I received that message.
I tried using the KeyCleaner program but was unable to run it on the PSP.
I was able to incrementally update from OFW 1.50 -> 2.71 -> 2.80 -> 3.03 but at each update point I tried to then go to 6.10 but was unable to do so. Since I am currently at OFW 3.03 is there a way to put a CFW on this PSP now and then possibly try to repeat the process again?
What exactly does using a Pandora's battery get me? I'm unfamiliar with this as I've been away from modding my PSP for quite a while. |

You probably couldn't run it because you're on OFW
Only with a Pandora's battery
The pandora's battery will upgrade you to one of the later custom firmwares or Official firmwares and should fix whatever is causing your issue.

| | | | I am unaware of what I need to do at this point since I am currently running OFW 3.03 to get back down to 1.50. That was what I was wanting to try (get back down to OFW 1.50) but I'm not sure how to do it since I am now on OFW 3.03.
As for Pandora's battery, can you direct me to a good link where i can read up on what exactly it does or how it uses any exploits to do the things that you mention?
You mention that the Pandora's battery "will upgrade you to one of the later custom firmwares or Official firmwares and should fix whatever is causing your issue." How does it accomplish this?
Thanks for your insight! |

But you need GTA: Liberty City Stories the old UMD w/ the 2.00 update on it.
I also found a post on another site you might find helpful also they talk about downgrading a 3.03 TA-82 and it also mentions the Pandora battery on there: 3.03 TA-82 downgrade with another PSP CFW
I hope this helps you somewat. |

I hope this helps you somewat. | Hi Gamer420 -
Come to think of it, your post spark the memory that the way that I had originally put a custom firmware on my PSP a couple of years ago was with the GTA: Liberty City Stories UMD procedure. I had completely forgotten about that prior to your post. I don't have that UMD but it would be a simple matter of renting it to try that procedure out again. Thanks for triggering that memory!
I also did do a little research on the Pandora Battery. If all else fails I think that I could probably get one of those and fix this issue as well. Thanks again for your help! |

| | | | Well, I'm still pluggin away here trying to get this 2nd PSP up to OFW 6.10. When I left off a week and a half ago I was at OFW 3.03. I was able to get my hands on an unpatched GTA:LCS UMD and the 3.03 downgrader files. I successfully downgraded back to OFW 1.50.
However, I was still not able to make the leap from OFW 1.50 to OFW 6.10 like I was with my 1st PSP.
So, I got 3.52 M33 CFW files and updated the 2nd PSP to that CFW. I then tried using Hellcat's Recovery Flasher 1.60 just as I did with the first PSP to try and get a "clean" install of OFW 1.50. There was some sort of hiccup during the OFW 1.50 install and the PSP hung during install at the "Formatting flashes..." step. I thought for sure I had bricked the PSP at this point. I let it sit for roughly 15 minutes before deciding to try and power the PSP off.
Surprisingly, the PSP came back and was still in CFW 3.52 M33. This time I tried updating via Hellcat's Recovery Flasher 1.60 to CFW 5.00 M33-6. This went off without a hitch and I was running CFW 5.00 M33-6.
At this point I tried putting the "clean" OFW 1.50 install back on and this time it worked. I was back at OFW 1.50. However, when I attempted to update to OFW 6.10 I received the now very frustraing message:
"The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance. (DRNFFFFFFD7)"
Grrrrr. So, I got the PSP back to CFW 5.00 M33-6 which is where it currently stands.
Not really sure what else to try here. Am I stuck? |
