Question Creating MP3 RSS Feeds

All,

Has anyone managed to get Radiccio's RSS Feed to work with WIN XP.

I have been at it for days and still it dont work.

Running xitami 2.5 with PHP 5.1-1 (Cool free webserver)

PHP Scripting works a treat. Created test page with just php info and that works

Using the RSS feed thingy on the PSP and I can see all of the files. When you try and play them it you get 404 errors (file not found). When I check the file information I can see that its there but everyting is seperated by %20.

I really dont know enough about PHP so I am hoping one of you is already using this to RSS your mp3's or MP4's to your PSP.

Thenwhydidyoureply?

Red_Bullseye, which version of the Radiccio php script are you using? I tried 1.01 from http://projects.aeroleviathan.com/radiccio/ and works just fine on my Apache web server.

Oh and %20 means a space.

Smile

That's where I got mine. 1.01 (05/12/05)

I am not sure but I have an awful lot of folders in my music folder. about 2k with about 80gig of music. Dont think that would make a difference seeing as I edited the config.php file to reflect where everything is but stll I can get the psp to accept the RSS channel but when I play them I get 404's.

Do you think this could be because of alias (Apache has http.conf) Xitami has xitami.conf and also defaults.conf I created my alias using xitami's web config. Which just requests the Initial music folder. I am guessing this really isnt the cause of the fault seeing as I am still getting the %20 everywhere.

The RSS script does not seem to be removing them like it should. Perhaps I need a different version of PHP installed ?

Any help appreciated.

I want to connect my PSP to my KEF system........ JUST Stream IT!!!!

Make sure you can access the address in $config_webpath (see config.php).
For example, try http://localhost/mymusic/song.mp3 in a normal webbrowser if your $config_webpath = http://localhost/mymusic/.
If your browser can open or save the mp3 file, then it should work.

Thanks, This is going to take a hell of a lot of work to create all of my files as RSS Feeds. I might try and persevere with Radiccio.
