I expect the 3.0 firmware to come out soon to counter the new homebrew like the ussaully do....Yet, Im starting to get the feeling that there isnt gonna be a new update...Am I the only one who feels this?

Points: 49.75 Donate | | | we have had confirmation that 3,0 is being made, so dont fret. i think sony wants us to make us happy with our psp's, and will keep releasing updates......
EDIT: i'm an idiot, 4get about the confirmation thing....but we have a so-called sony employee who is helping us out and giving info. if this person isnt a lying idiot, then we will see a 3.0. once again, i apologize for my stupidity

Due to lots of attempts at thwart are securuty we never needed to relese another update, as we at sony thought 2.6 was unbreakable but, due to us being bit silly, some homebrew applications are being modified to load using grand theft auto liberty city stories, this has been known to brick many psp's and void warranty (for the noobs this is just a lie to make you upgrade) So please update now for your psp's sake.

oh and ye, i have the feeling that a 3.0 firmware will come out, but i personally do not think it will be able able to stop the GTA exploit, tho they may make it a little harder by changing syscalls and everything for, yet another update, but i dont think they will be able to stop the exploit, only slow down the process of getting homebrew on the newest firmware!
and also, with each new firmware, they add new features, with new features, you get more opertounities for exploits! so ye.... |

Sony thinks 3.0 will be the stopping point for Homebrew, no exploits, nothing. Just as the GTA Glitch, its a save game messup. So we dont really have to depend on Sony to f*** up, we have to depend on the game developers. Which more then likely will happen again. Who knows how much other games have these same glitches or mess ups.

yeah wut he said, there will be more games that will come out where hackers will find out new ways to hack the psp firmware.........so f*** sony and there firmware updates because they might have one the battle.........but the war, my friends.........is ours........ |
