Because I'm one of the stupids that are screwed with the fckd 2.01+ thing (until this moment) I would like to protect others before buying a PSP. Before you buy one make sure its an old one. Try a little store which does not sell a lot and before you buy, ask to see the label with the barcode on the left side of the box.

Here is what this letter means:
A-1.50
B-1.51
C-1.52
D-2.00 Unconfirmed
E-2.00 Unconfirmed (likely 1.52)
F-2.00
G-2.01

I don't know if this is true but mine was bought from a big store, had a G and really was 2.01... And today I went to a videoclub to rent a game and there were Fs and even Cs on the shelfs.

What if it doesn't have a letter under the box? My PSP's box (I got back in May) started with firmware version 1.5. I didn't know anything about homebrew or stuff, so I updated blissfully unaware of awesome websites like PSPhacks or PSPUpdates. But, back to the point, my PSP came with version 1.5 and on my box on that sticker, it only says 120V, and then no letters under it.
