| | | | Wireless problem ( not a nooby question ) Okay, so heres my setup.
I have a Cable Modem ( isp = optimum online)
A wired router - Netgear RP-614
And a wireless router - D-link DI- 524 Rev E
The problem is that when connected from the Cable modem -> Netgear -> D-Link wireless, I cant connect.
However, when I connect from cable modem -> D-Link wireless I can connect.
The thing is my house is rather large, and I want to keep the wireless router in my room which is on the other side of the house. So connecting the second way is not an option.
Do I have to forward any ports or anything? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
Thanks, Ray. |

| | Member | | | | | you should be able to connect with the wireless router connected to the wired router, check to see if the SSID is correct and then chekc to see if there is a key(wpa and all them), make sure its the right key + right type of key. make sure that your routers dont have any other protection against your psp connecting to them. |

| | Member | | | | | you dont need the wired router but he said that he wants to keep the wireless router in his room, so he can stick the wired router by his pc then connect a very long piece of lan cable(dont know the proper name) to it, connect it to the wireless router, and put it in his room
otherwise no he just needs the wireless |
