Is there any danger, in burning in picture in the screen?

Hi.
I was woundering if there is any danger with burning in the picture in the screen on the psp?
Like on computers if the same picture stands on, it get stuck in the screen?
Becaus i play sim city on my psp, an to get a lot of money, i could gave it on att night to make me money while im sleeping, but could that burn the image in my screen?

Do you mean eventually burn out the screen? That is very unlikely to happen anytime soon. If thats what you're worried about, just turn the screen off.

Or do you mean if your PSP froze?

You didn't say that too clearly.

I know what he means, like on arcade games, if they stay on too long, the "Insert Coins" gets "burned" to the screen. I dont think it can happen with the PSP, it only happens with older monitor types.

oh, i meen burn the picture of the game in the screen, like when yoe have your computer standing with no screensaver, than the picture get stuck in the screen if you dont use it.
Like that im thinking with the sim city on my psp, becaus it aint a lot of moving in the picture, and than i wounder if that could burn in the screen?
Hope you understand now

spongefreak52: but i know that new lcd and plasma tv's have that problem if you pause your movie it could burn in the tv.

No i dont think this would happed as the screen goes black when you leave the game running or am i getting muddled up with that happeneng at pause screen??

No the screen dont go black when the game runs, only think it does that att pause ore in the menu..
But not in the game..

hold down the display button for like 5 seconds and when it turns off, put it on hold and leave it on. and NO it will not burn the LCD, the backlight life might go shorter, but psp lcd is RAW LCD, it will not bunr.

yer lcd's dont burn unless it is on for ages = 1 mounth or year, it just montiers that burn

I was in 2002 in spain for a few weeks. And when i came back my computer was still on and the game on pauze. Nothing burned in my screen.
