Points: 1.16 Donate | | Programming Hello my school has a career center next to it and we can take classes there as a school credit class (the only good thing my high school has). It teaches you things needed in a specific career for a full year. I read into it and it teaches the architecture of computers and teaches programming in rpgII. Does anyone use this If so giv info. I may look it up I like to be ahead of my class when I do things. If u know the language tell me is it hard to learn and the details etc. That's it. |

Its not hard to learn, you just have to do ALOT of work. Unfortunately i got lazy and failed , o well . So if u do want to learn it, make sure you are very interested in it and work hard.

| | Member | | | | man, I have never heard of rpgII, a simple google search gives a wiki: WIKI LINK
basically: Quote: |
RPG is a native programming language for IBM's iSeries servers - the latest generation of midrange servers which included System/38, System/36 and AS/400 systems. Its latest incarnation is RPG IV which includes prototyped functions and procedures, static and dynamic binding, access to C routine libraries, dynamic link libraries, and fully recursive and re-entrant code.
| Its probably specifically used for the IBM servers, but it would not hurt to know. The more you know, the better chance you stand at getting a job over someone else :P
