But, you might beable to download it as a file frome the internet browser and then some how make it boot up

u guys are all fogetting that the update needs to be run after it downloads. javascript cant run the eboot, and even if it could, the fw would just say there is no need to update.

someone just csnt tesch you how to hack it takes a while, some pratice and maybe a few bricked psps if you get good. (even though its extremely hard to brick a 2.5 unless you pull tha charger and battery out during an update).

Naw, it's possible. But just really really hard. some sort of cosmic ray hitting the cpu and changing the flash write bit. Or, just use your handy dandy improbablility drive on the Heart of Gold.

For the starter of this thread, this has already been tried multipule times by many people. Javascript cannot run an e-boot, unless there is some unknown (but highly^6 unlikely) vanerability in the sorce code. Also, you cannot just "convert" an eboot into javascript. Javascript is a low powered script (hence the name) that is used to make things look pretty on websites, like this one. Eboots (and other programs, like the webbrowser that you are using now), and processor codes. In other words, the cpu reads the program directly. The cpu cannot read javascript directly at all. You are asking to change apples into oranges.

If it was possible to brick a 2.01+ that would be good because it would mean write/modify access to the parts of the flash .
