no, there will be too much room for homebrew dev. plus you'd have to buy the recorder as it doesn't fit a regular drive

No it wont happen they have already claimed that it wont happen and the only time i reckon they would release a UMD recorder is when they design a new system that uses something else than UMDs then it will be old news to have UMDs so dont look for it anytime soon.........

I would love it if they did, but it would never happen, since Sony knows what people would do with them. (homebrew, etc...)

I voted for NO, because sony dont wont anymore exploits to the psp.
I think If they did bring this out, a possible downgraders could be produced.

no they wont, UMD is considered a failed format in sonys eyes and wont be making recordable because if they make any thing else its in blu-ray discs
