Phone/Wifi interferance.

Every time Someone picks up one of my portable phones, I get discponnected from the internet. And it really pisses me off becuase people call a lot, and I havn't risen a rank in ages.

This only happens with my NETGEAR router though. If I use my Wifi Max it works fine, and I can stay on the internet while someone is on the phone. But I don't like Wifi Max as much because it isn't as fast.

So my question is, is there any way to tweak something in my router and/or its settings so it won't disconnect me every time?

Sounds like a wave interference. Try changing the channel on your phone. If that doesn't work, change it on your router.

Look for a button named "Channel". It should be on the front, if not, read the manual. Actually, is it just certain phones which interfere, or all of them?

Then it's something with the channels. Go ahead and try changing your router's channel. Or just figure out how to change each phone's channel, that would be easier and less risky.

Ok I trried changing my phone's channel, but when I press the channel button all it does is say "scanning" and then nothing happerns. There is nothing to indicate if it changed the channel or which channel it changed to.

I have a RadioShack 4ghz Digital phone.
