1.5 wireless connection problem. Can anybody help??

I have just got me a 1.5 (£60!!!! not £90 like I thought!!!!). But I am having a real problem getting Links2 to work. It seems that my 1.5 is having a problem accesing my wireless AP. My 2.6 still works fine and I have no MAC filtering or anything on the AP.

When I create a new Infrastructure connection I can scan for my AP and add the encrytion key but when I test the connection I get a connection error (80410D07). When I scan I get next doors AP that has no encryption and when I test that connection I finally get an IP address (after about 10 seconds!!! which seams really slow) but cant browse with Links2.

I have restored back to default settings on my PSP and I still get the same problem.

Before anybody asks 'yes' i have done a search in the forums and previous problems that people have had as silly things like 'turn on your wireless on the PSP' and 'you need a wireless access point' etc etc etc.

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't know anything that could be the problem, but here's the only things that it could possibly be:

1. When you connected to nextdoors connection, chances were that you weren't close enough or the signal was going through a washing machine or something. Any signal under 30% will probably end up in a timeout.

2. The key you entered for your own connection was wrong. Usually if you set up your connection with a disk, you're key will be shown at the end of the setting up. Also remember to make sure it's the correct type of key (WEP etc...).

Hope that helped.

I think you should try MPH's firmware launcher and see if you can get a connection with the "official" web browser.
