yes it means that your wifi board is burnt out. really the only safe way to fix it is to send the psp back to sony becuase the same thing happened to mine. hope this helps

it has nothing to do with the access point when this happens it means the wifi board is burnt out. there are many things posted on the net about how to fix it but none work. sorry to say the psp has to be sent off to sony and they give you a new one

I've heard about this happening. Sometimes it will help if you open up your PSP, and try to clean off the WiFi board, aka getting dust, rust, and stuff off of it. It should work then. If not, you should send it back to Sony.

Even If it was passworded, the light should light up and it should connect but fail when obtaining the IP address, so your board must be fried, sry to hear that dude..

monkeyboy you are right if the light does not come on that does mean the board has burnt out but if the light comes on your in luck.
if you do need a new one sony are good about this, and should send some one to your door and swap your psp for a new one

yep, go for a new one. The only prob is your firmware. If you a a lower one than 2.6, but, I am sorry, they will give you 2.6.

i got a 2.6 so thats no problem, but the wifi light on my psp is burning green.
if i need to get a new one thats my 4th new psp
the first one had 8 dead pixels
second crashed when i started a game....how...i dont know
third was my own fault but with a lame excuse i get a new one

But it doesn't matter if i get a 2.7 or 2.6 back because in netherland the modchip will be released 14 of june and my birthday is 17 of june so i think i ask the modchip as a present for my birthday
