Does any one know how to fix it, (I think the disk isnt spinning, because i dont hear the sound it mkaes when it does.) Or do I have to bite the bullet and get a new psp(I have insurance on it)? |

| | Member | | Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: In ur network | | | dude this might sound stupid but just put a umd in then shut it realy hard and fast (well not that hard) it worked with my cusins psp when it didnt want to read umd it worked but he has to do it alot anyway also one of my friends psp stoped working on the umd so wat i did first was also try to restore default settings and his worked so give both a try

But that didnt work, And if i left a umd in it would not restart, it would try to load the umd (Idk if thats normal). I held it closed for a several minutes but that didnt work. But now theres a difference in how its acting. Although it still dosnet load it, The disk spinner works for several secounds(5-10) then it stopz spinning. Ugh... |

My sister had it while I was at a party. She told me she droped it. But I didnt think anything of it, Ive droped it so many times. Very badly. Like the battery and its case would go flying. Wow, I guess I have to trade one in and try to hunt another 2.6 or lower. Hopefully Ill find one at gamestop. |

Points: 57.11 Donate | | | my psp (1.5) started doing the exact same thing, but iv never droppped mine once, iv sent it away for repair, i think its getting a new umd drive im gonna call the shop today, and it hasnt cost me that much either, only 50 quid which is about 75 dollars, i think. so if i were u id try to get it repaired, |
