Try holding down the back cover (lightly) while the umd is in.

Thanks for the help, but it didnt work. I tried restring defult setings a couple times. But that didnt work, And if i left a umd in it would not restart, it would try to load the umd (Idk if thats normal). I held it closed for a several minutes but that didnt work. But now theres a difference in how its acting. Although it still dosnet load it, The disk spinner works for several secounds(5-10) then it stopz spinning. Ugh...

Did you ever drop it recently? Or have the charger pluged in during a power faliure/short circut? It sounds like your laser is toasted.

Yes, My psp has seen some bad times, especially recently, It was droped. Must have been a really hard fall. My sister had it while I was at a party. She told me she droped it. But I didnt think anything of it, Ive droped it so many times. Very badly. Like the battery and its case would go flying. Wow, I guess I have to trade one in and try to hunt another 2.6 or lower. Hopefully Ill find one at gamestop.

it should be a farely easy thing to fix. mine was doing the same thing. try a hard system reset and that should do the trick.

Internal problems like what you stated are VERY hard to fix and sometimes impossible without sending it to the manufacturer! Your better of getting a new one!
