Yes it is a safety measure, and also make sure your battery is fully charged or at leat 75%.

Just make sure you have enough battery power to last the whole thing

. That's about five minutes max.

I have a Q for anyone looking. I downgraded my 2.00 to a 1.50 the process messed up and now i have a 1.00 with internet and all of the 2.00 capabilities.
Why is this

well you havent messedv up ur psp just that thats how the downgraDER WORKS this happened when u went to the photo part then saw the letters right???? well thats when it is using the tiff exploit to make the psp think its a 1.0 so u dint mess p and u havent downgraded yet u just made the psp think its a 1.0 so the next step is to run the 1.5 update good luck dontforget to plug the ac cord

i got that but i already ran the downgrader,it runs games.
it just still thinks its a 1.00
