Smile 4 gb memory stick?
ok i am thinking of buying a 4 gb memory stick.and i have a question....

do we need to upgrade to the latest firmware to use the 4 gb memory stick?
if we do need to upgrade to the latest firmware to use it then **** it!

how about the 8 gb one,does anyone know any information about it?
is it the same ?

I think you need a later firmware to use the 8gb, but the 4gb should work on any firmware.

Why would you need the new firmware to use an 8GB memory stick?
If Sony have put some kind of software in it to make you update then...
Shorely Sandisk will come out with an 8GB without that rubbish.

Just my thoughts.

Nope, the PSP's earlier versions don't accept 8gb memory cards. At least that was what I heard.

yeah, currently the maximum storage the psp can hold is 4gb, nothing over that.
