Downgrade from 2.70 to 2.60?

I see there's a lot of downgraders for 2.50/60/70/71 to 1.50, but is there any downgraders for 2.70/71 to 2.60? I know I could probably just downgrade to 1.5 and upgrade then, but all the downgraders needs a "1.50 helper" to give some "dump" files, and that's when I go "?". So since I don't have a "1.50 helper",and my PSP was bought with a 2.00+ v. (according to some forum posts I can't downgrade with that) , which is bought in europe, will this work? Before I knew about all of this homebrew thingies I upgraded my PSP to 2.70 and therefore I'm in some trouble.. Should I just wait until the guys at Noobz crack the v. 2.71 or 2.70 with the TIFF image file or should I risk my PSP trying to downgrade? And also one last question: If by any means my PSP still is available to downgrade to 1.50, will the DUMP folder in the "2.5/6 Downgrader Guide - 100% Clear English" work as the dump files needed from the "1.50 helper" in the 2.71 downgrader too?

Thx for any input on this post (I'm sure it will help alot of frustrated "want to have homebrewers" )

Go to psp-hacks.com. They have an eazy downgrader there that will provide you with all the files you need, and give you step by step intructions. Follow all of them, and you will have a 1.5, and then you can use dev-hook (eazy installer at psp-hacks, too) to go back to 2.71 any time you want.

Or, if you're insistent, downgrade then upgrade to v2.60.

I can't see why, though; What with Devhook and the like.

EDIT: Ahh, you say you're not sure if your PSP is compatible? Go here:
http://www.modchipstore.com/support/...barticleid=164

If your PSP is like the one in the picture, then you're incompatible.

to downdate to 2.6 you'd still need the 2.6 dump which leaves you where you started, if you want to downgrade to 1.50 just search google for "devhook ultimate installer" and read the results it includes the 1.5 dump

Actually, hang on guys, there is another answer:

Upgrade to version 2.71, install HenC, and use the Generic downgrader.

All you need is the EBOOT.pbp of the version you want to update to, so if you find the Eboot for 2.6, just rename it UPDATE.PBP and stick it in the downgrader.

Simple, easy.

Here is a link.

And if you want 1.5 homebrew AND 2.71 homebrew on the same Firmware, click here.

If you want to go to 2.60, just use the Generic Downgrader (mentioned above). It is probably the best choice as of now, unless you want to downgrade to 2.00, then upgrade to 2.60.

There are many methods of doing it, but there may be some that you want to avoid.
