I'm a n00b at downgrading.
I want to downgrade from 2.71 to 1.5 and I'm really nervous. I dont have the money to buy a new PSP.
BUT! I need to know a few things first.
-With Devhook, can you still play UMDs?
-Is the 2.71 downgrader bricksafe?
And if you want to be helpful, can you link me to a good downgrader?
Edit: I got a downgrader.. waiting for a response.

Points: 494.63 Donate | | | 1.50 is the most wanted firmware, with it you can play every emulator (Snes is way faster with ME ) and many kernel mode apps you still cant play right on 2.0+, yes you can still play any 1.0-2.71 UMD with Devhook and it will work fine, you can also play most 1.0-2.71 ISO's aswell, I say no matter how hard everyone tries 1.50 will still be the most ******d firmware |

Ugh, talking about 2.71 downgrading, it's not working for me!
I follow the steps completely except when it says "open the photo menu and the red screen of death appears while it's loading"
The red screen of death doesn't appear, it appeared this morning except the error didn't come up :/.
How on earth can I downgrade to 1.5 from my 2.71 if this isn't working? i've tried it 10-20 times and no luck! i've wiped my memory stick a few times, put stuff on it to see if anything else happened but no... nothing  
any clues? |

Points: 22.26 Donate | | | your best off using your 32mb memstick and try the slide show method (put it in a folder with a pic named aaa.png and run it as a slideshow should increase usability

You have probably heard about the modded firmware, 2.71se?
Basically, once you follow the steps, you have two folders:
/psp/game
/psp/game150
Anything in game acts like it is on the psp 2.71 with HenC enabled.
Anything in game150 acts like it is on the psp 1.50.
