Wireless connection on my 1.5 is reeeealy slow

I have two PSP's, a 1.5 and a 2.6. the wireless connection on my 2.6 is fine, but the one on my 1.5 is really really slow and times out when I try to use Links2. The reason I want to get my 1,5 sorted is so that I can use the NetHosts function in IRShell for streaming PMP vids.

Anybody any ideas why the 1.5 should be so much slower that the 2.6???

cheers,

Well, 1.50 was one of the first firmwares, and it wasn't expected to be used to browse the internet. Although Links2 has worked fine for me, it sounds like there could be more to the problem besides the PSP alone.

1. Are you sure you're connecting to the right SSID?
2. Is there something wrong with the settings (aka WEP, etc.)
3. Is the website you try to access on 1.50 just not working at all?

Other than that, I'm not sure what you can try.

I guess you could upgrade to 2.60, then do a comparison. Then downgrade if you want to.

My 2.6 works fine. The reason I want to get my 1.5 wifi working is so that I can use Nethost with IrShell.

I have managed to get Links2 working on my 1.5 but I can only visit a few sites, most of the time I get 'Looking Up Host' in the bottom left of the screen and it just sits there, even though the Activity light on my WiFi Access Point is flashing away. Are there any setting within Links2 that cn speed thing up.

I have used a static IP on my 1.5 and the AP uses WEP suppose I could try it without WEP and see what happens.

Any help is much appreciated.
