I'm new to the site and have been reading up on all the great things that are being developed in the homebrew scene.
I plan on going to 3.03 OE-A firmware as soon as I get some noob-ish questions out of the way. I'm sure these have been asked before. If so I apologize.
1. Say I've loaded the 3.03 OE-A firmware on the system and at some point I decide I want my OEM PSP back. Is there a way to roll back the OE firmware to the Sony firmware?
2. Say I'm using the 3.03 OE-A firmware and I want to play multiplayer online. Will Sony detect the modified firmware and ban me? (IE DNAS)
So yeah, that's it. If you don't feel like answering a link to the answer(s) will also suffice. Thank you for your time.

2. No, this firmware is completely fine, Wi-Fi gaming will work just fine. The only modifications to this firmware are to allow homebrew applications to be run. |

1) Yes, you can downgrade back to whatever stock firmware you wish.
2) No, there is no way they will be able to find out.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: SpongeFreak52 beat me to it!

Hope this helps! |

Plus give a shot out to Cody L.
Just finished upgrading to 3.03 OE-A'. It was insanely simple! Anyone who reads this and is considering doing this you won't be sorry. Just read directions and follow them verbatim.
Now that everything is going good can I format my Pro Duo card? I need the space for all the homebrew goodness that awaits
Thanks again for all the help! |

Yes, now that everything is flashed to your PSP, the files are no longer necessary. Format away!
