Please follow this tutorial EXACTLY. You WILL BRICK if you do this wrong.
1. Upgrade to
2.80. To do this, create a folder in (/psp/game/update/) and extract the
2.80 eboot.pbp to that folder.
2. Grab a copy of the following:
Move everything inside of HEN D's MS_ROOT folder to the root folder of your psp, such as E:\ or J:\.
Move everything inisde of the Downgrader's MS_ROOT folder to the root of your psp, such as E:\, F:\.
Rename the 1.50 Eboot.pbp file to UPDATE.PBP, and put it in the (/psp/game/UPDATE) folder.
3. Charge your psp to at least 75%, preferably 100%.
4. Go to your PHOTO folder, and open HEND 2.80 folder. You should see a flash of blue. If you don't and it shuts off, try the following:
Quote:
4.a. Select wallpaper to fill up memory.
(Goto Photo, look at a picture, press /\ and select background) 4.b. Select the HEN D folder with /\, choose slideshow. 4.c. If the above doesn't work, try turning your psp off and removing the battery.
Replace the battery, turn on, and try again. |
5. This step is only for TA-082 and TA-086 PSP's. Execute "TA082 IdStorage Changer" from your GAME, MEMORY STICK folder. It will change some keys in your IDStorage, and allow you to downgrade safely. If you do not have a TA-08X psp, just go to next step.
6. Run the program "Update X.YZ" from your Game Folder. You need 75% power or more in your battery. When it finishes, it will ask you to press X. Press X.
Your done! You should see a blue screen telling you that your settings are corrupted, and that you should fix them! Then just put in your info, and done.
^_^ You can now treat your PSP as a 1.50! Anything 1.50 can do, yours can too.
Upgrade to the latest in Custom Firmwares, created by Dark_AleX, which allows CPU over clocking, playing of PS1 games compressed, and running all current demos AND home brew without rebooting! You can find a tutorial
here.
This is a quick and dirty tutorial, let me know if I need to add anything.
