im having trouble with my gameboot installation. im running 3.03OE-C and when i toggle on usb in recovery mode nothing on my PC happens. so i went and searched for a folder called RESOURCES and found something that had to do with my n64 emulator and i also searched for "VSH" and found a TEXT file that had my capture thingy in it so i can take screenshots of my psp. there is no place where i can simply drop my gameboot.pmf. someone please help me out!!! i dont want to brick my psp so im asking first! (im smart)

Points: 9,999,500,270.28 Donate | | | AFAIK custom gameboots don't work on 3.xx OE. If I'm wrong and they do, they go in flash0:/vsh/resource and must be named gameboot.pmf . |

Points: 21.55 Donate | | | Oh they work just fine but you need to remove the jap font and the chinese font to free up 2.5 mb then it gives you plenty of space to install them.
p.s. are you using "toggle on usb" or the "advanced menu" "flash0 usb" option
as the first is for memstick and the second is flash and the Flash1 usb is for flash1.
p.p.s. you must have a memstick in to use the flash0\1 options and the gameboot is in flash0:\vsh\resource\gameboot.pmf and be very careful as you do have full read and write access to ALL flash0 files.

Points: 64.87 Donate | | | ok ya that was the problem. i wasnt using the advanced options i was just using the toggle usb. also how do i delete the japanese and chinese fonts from the flash?

Points: 64.87 Donate | | | well i will be really careful when messing with the flash but will the fonts be labeled by language? i heard i need to free some memory by deleting one or two off the flash. im gonna do it when i get home.
so i rename my file called easports.pmf to gameboot.pmf and replace it with the current one. CORRECT?

Points: 21.55 Donate | | the easiest way to delete the jap and chinese fonts is use the "flash agent" it has the option to remove the font files, or copy the ltn0.pgf and make 2 copies named "gb3s1518.bwfon" and "jpn0.pgf" and place in the flash0:\fonts this will reduce the two fonts from 1mb and 1.5 mb to 64kb each.
p.s. NEVER just delete files try to replace.
and yes socoms_greatest rename to gameboot.pmf and copy and paste it into flash0:\vsh\resource\
p.p.s. id recommend either copying and paste or drag and drop as opposed to delete the file and drag it in as you will only overwrite the one files as deleting you may delete the wrong file or multiple. and remember to backup your flash0 files before overwriting (maybe even backup entire flash0 for safety )
