Points: 350.39 Donate | | Whoa. That's like... back in June. There's gonna be a really long list of updates, but I'll try to list all the major stuff. - New firmwares -
- 2.81
- 2.82
- 3.00 (yes, Sony finally bothered to release it, and it does have full speed PSX emulation, PS3-PSP connectivity, and a ton of other features)
- 3.01
- 3.02
- 3.03
- 3.10
- 3.11
- 2.71, 2.80 and 3.03 can be downgraded
- Dark_AleX released a prototype custom firmware based on 1.5, another based on 2.71 (2.71 SE), 3.02 (3.02 OE), 3.03 (3.02 OE), and one on 3.10 (3.10 OE). All have many revisions, with major updates being given a new letter (making it like 3.03 OE-C), and all of these above 3.02 OE-B can run most PSX game, bought from a PS3 or not, many at full speed.
That's quite a few of them, and that's only the major ones. There's probably loads more that I've forgotten. |

The patcher just replaces those with the older motherboard ones, making your PSP belive it's a non-TA-82. Once you run that program, you can do anything all of us with older PSP's can. The only problem I have heard (but not confirmed) is that if you try to upgrade to 3.03 with the official Sony upgrader, then downgrade to 1.50, and upgrade again, you could brick the PSP. But this hasn't been a problem in the custom firmwares.
