Dump Gameboy BIOS?

I'm working on my own custom firmware and I'm makeing the coldboot. I want to use the video from a gameboy pocket BIOS, but I don't know how to get the video out of the BIOS file.(or rom file, whatever) So..... how would I do this?

Decompress the dump if necessary, open up with a hex editor, look for any and all file headers, then paste the data into new files. Take a look around to see if any of the files bear any resemblence to a well-known audio/video format, and attempt to convert it to another format.
If you can't find the file, tough, I'm afraid. If you can't work out the format, code your own library for it.

That would be my primary approach...

The easiest method would be to use a pc emulator and record it using a pc screen video recorder and re-encode it to pmf format as for ripping it straight from the bios file good luck and best of luck.

You won't be able to get it out of the gameboy pocket bios dump. What it did was run a simple power on self check, and then load the "Nintendo" font and letters off of the cartige. That is why if you turn the GB on without a cart in it, it looks scrambled. It this besides the fact that it's not a video file in the first place. Your best bet is record off of Virtual Boy on your computer.
