But anyway, here goes. I bought my brother's PSP, £80 for a ceramic white one (PSP-1007, 2.71 SE-B), as my old black one had a faulty up button, a cracked UMD tray, and the flying disc problem. I, of course, upgraded it to 3.03 OE-C straight away without an issue.
But then I noticed that it couldn't pick up my wireless network. Odd, I thought, and went to reset my default flash1 settings. Once I got into System Settings, I accidentally pressed right on the D-Pad, and went into Nickname. I immediately got the BSOD. I just thought 'Oh well, this'll reset my default settings anyway'. That was where my problems started.
I pressed O. In retrospect, that was a bad idea, but I did it anyway. My (new) PSP shut off, and wouldn't turn on. I just thought nothing of it, and went into Recovery mode to reflash 3.03 OE-C. Luckily, this passed through without any problems, but it still wouldn't turn on again. I tried flashing 1.50 and tried flashing 3.10 OE-A. The generic downgrader for 1.50 didn't get past the 'Preparing...' message, but while 3.10 OE-A worked, I still couldn't get into my XMB no matter what I tried.
After a few tests, I can run homebrew from the recovery menu without an issue, but I cannot get into the XMB. All functions on the recovery mode work, including the USB flash access, which is a bit of luck (I tried restoring flash1 from a backup), but I'm completely stumped. If anyone has experienced anything like this and wants to help, or just thinks they know what to do, please, please reply below with your suggestions!
Thanks a lot in advance for the replies! |

EDIT: It hasn't worked.

[Remove UMD]
1. Check for TA-082/086.
2. Delete all files in Flash1
3. Then run a CHKDSK on Flash1 through recovery with write access (chkdsk X: /F).
4. Restore 3.10 OE-A again.
5. Leave your battery out for 15 minutes. You get a temporary brick if you use Devhook on OE.
6. Format your memory stick, and try without one inserted.
7. Run a CHKDSK on Flash0 through recovery (without write priviledges; ie, like so:
'chkdsk X:'). If any errors are found, it's up to you if you want to run one that will correct it: (chkdsk X: /F).
Not sure what to do after that...

P.S. If your advice fixes my problem, quite a few points are coming your way.
EDIT: Hasn't worked, and I see no point in restoring 3.03 OE again, as I've done that three times today already... (Unless you think it's still worthwhile?)
