Points: 4.19 Donate | | | jap firmware vs us firmware ok so i have been thinking lately. i mean i know that japan has many more features when it comes to assecories and the like. but what are the main differences in regards to firmware structure and functionality and the like. anyone with more info on this i would appreciate it thnx in advance. |

Points: 29.92 Donate | | The only differences that I know of are: - Functions of the X and O buttons are switched (O is to select, X is to go back/cancel)
- Region code
- Minor changes to the webbrowser to help with the display of the language on a small screen (unconfirmed)
There are to my knowlage, no cool new fetures. Even the gps (only in Japan right now) will fuction with every other PSP on the market, US and EU.

Points: 214.16 Donate | | | The firmware would be no different if you were to install it on a US PSP, because the updater would check the iDstorage to see what region it is and install it accordingly.
The update makes no difference to the region. |

Apparently there was some sort of difference to the flashing method between that and the one we got. Nothing major, though. | |
