hi there i got a psp last week for my b/day and i would like to run homebrew on it.when i got my psp i got mega drive collection and wouldnt run the game without up dating the firmware. so my psp went from 2.60 to 2.82. i tried to update the firm ware to 3.03 using the gta hack but it just freezes my psp....thankfully not turning it into a brick. so i go back into system setting and format my card and am now am writing to you asking where am i going wrong. on the 3.03 update files it says clear screen at load screen how do i do that.....  |

Points: 59.42 Donate | | Make a new folder called "UPDATE", in all caps and place the 3.03 update in the folder and and rename it to "EBOOT.PBP " Then go to XMB > Game Memory stick and run the update then downgrade as normal to 1.5. Then Update to 3.03 OE-C.

Points: 13.86 Donate | | Check if you have a TA-82 Motherboard!!!!! Open your UMD case, and if you see writing on the inside in the upper corner like this: 
Then you need to take a very importiant extra step or else you will have a brick. Somewhere included with the downgrader is a peice of homebrew that will change your firmware keys so that this brick doesn't happen. You need to run that before you downgrade from 3.03.
