Cool [Tutoral]How to use Dvorak!

^_^ Yes, I am typing on a Qwerty board, but it is being treated as a Dvorak one... so I think it still counts.....

But first, let me explain a bit.

The Qwerty board was designed to spread the keys as far as possible, because it was designed during the days of the typewriter. If two keys were beside each other, and you press them, the typewriter would jam... hence why the vowels are almost all off center and so spread apart.

Here is a picture of a Qwerty:

However, in todays world, why use such an antiquated system?

The Dvorak board was carefully designed to put the most used letters under the strongest fingers, and the least used letters on the bottom row, the hardest to reach.

Here is a picture of a Dvorak:

All computers come with Dvorak, and all keyboards can be used.

Here is an example of why I am trying to change to Dvorak:

^_^ Notice the difference?

To set this up, go to your Control Panel:
1. Click on the "Regional and Language Options"

2. Click on the "languages" tab:

3. Click on the "Details..." button:

4. Click the "Add " button:

5. Change "Keyboard Layout/IME" to "United States-Dvorak", it will probably be default.

6. Click "OK" till it lets you out of the menus!

^_^ Typing in Dvorak is actually quite interesting... It has been SO long since I haven't been able to write quickly... Anywho, let me know how you guys do!

^_^ And if you can, respond in Dvorak!
