Ok...I am trying to mod my friend's PSP, and it is a 2.82 psp. And it is also one of those TA-O8x ones. Also...It is japanese...so...How do I downgrade this (if i can) so I can get it back to him. Any help really quickly is great.

Got a 2 gig mem stick...then the next day the 4 gig came out...I was kinda mad...but I didnt buy the 2 gig so i sold it to get the 4 gig. |

Points: 1.31 Donate | | OK, first, buy GTA:LCS UNPATCHED EDITION. It is very rare, so your best bet is eBay.
Then, upgrade him to 3.03. NOT 3.30!
Then, search the interwebs with Google to find the 3.03 downgrader.
Download it, and use Google again to find a 3.03 downgrader tutorial.
Finally, downgrade the thing. Be sure to download a japanese eboot when you need a firmware 1.50 eboot.
There ya' go, the only known method of downgrading a 2.81-3.03.

Points: 116.95 Donate | | | Ok...well i do have an unpatched version of GTA...I had it since the day it came out...ok and i need to get a jap version of 3.03...cause i have a 3.03 upgrade but it wont let me upgrade...it keeps telling me that it is corrupted...
wait...japanese eboot?... just google japanese 1.5 firmware eboot...or what

It's very good that you have the unpatched GTA by the way. Not having it is the number one problem with 2.81-3.03ers looking to downgrade.

Points: 1.31 Donate | | | Eboot.pbps are PSP programs. You are supposed to look for the 3.03 update. PSP applications are referred to as eboots, as in any folder in the /PSP/GAME/ directory will contain a eboot.pbp .
