Points: 0.76 Donate | | You will need to upgrade to 2.71, and then use it's downgrader. I THINK that 2.60 downgrader requires GTA:LCS unpatched to run.
You will also want to open your UMD slot and look for numbers in it, like these: 
If there are numbers, you have a TA-082 motherboard, which is slightly different for downgrading.
A tutorial for both TA-082's AND the average TA-079 downgrade is Here.
Then, after you hit 1.5, go Here and learn how to upgrade to 3.03 OE-C.
P.S. When you need the 3.03 and 1.5 eboots for the OE installation, go to PSP-Hacks and go in the download section. They also have the 2.71 upgrade file.
P.P.S. REMEMBER, THERE IS ALWAYS A RISK OF BRICKING WHEN YOU FLASH YOUR PSP! REMEMBER, I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY IF YOU DO IN FACT BRICK YOUR PSP.
P.P.S. Remember, the chances are very low that you will brick when installing OE, and slightly higher when you are downgrading. I've seen very few bricks when downgrading in comparison to non-bricks, the ratio would probably be 1/200, the one being the brick. But if you do everything right, and your PSP is fully charged and plugged in when downgrading, you'll most definitely be fine.

Points: 0.76 Donate | | | Good night, and don't worry about the downgrade/upgrade, just don't play with your PSP or touch it while it is running, just go on your computer and play solitaire or something, and before you know it it will be done. -^.^-

Points: 356.24 Donate | | | Harder, but only a tiny bit as you just have to run 1 extra app before you can downgrade. It also increases the chance of brickage, but again, only by a tiny bit. |
