Button configuration for PSX games

I was wondering if it is possible to reconfigure the button layout of a PSX game to the buttons we want on the psp.

What happends when there are not enough buttons on the psp ?

(this information will only be used to play games that I legally own)

thanks

I think it is possible by goin into the config settings in POPs. Just hit home and click button assignment at least on 3.40 OE-A or 3.40. But if u don't hav enough buttons then u can't do certain controls in a game that needs that button u do't hav config.

It's in 3.03 all right. Just press HOME while playing, select Assign Buttons on the menu that comes up, then you can choose between four possible configs. From what I know, however, you can't make your own ones.

When emulating a PSX game with OE firmware, press select, it will come up with a menu to reconfigure the buttons for the particular game. But when it comes to the XMB, I don't think it's possible...

It won't. Don't worry about it. On the note of button changing, it'd be nice if someone wrote a homebrew that'd change the presets. Any takers?
