| | | | Help!! A virus? Can someone please give me some advice on what to do.
First off I was downloading a video clip on my psp And it started up fine, and then I looked away and next thing I know it was switched off. I then tried to turn it on, and it wouldn't, so I took out the memory card and battery and left it for a while, and tried to turn it back on but it would only get in to recovery(after a couple of trys). So it was in recovery and and pressed "exit" and it started up like normal, then after a few minutes it did he same thing again. I have got in in recovery and will just leave it there in fear of a bricked psp! Is there such thing as a virus for psp? if so what do I do!!
I have a 1.50 with 3.10oea. Please help! |

The only virus for PSP that I recall was the PSPBrick.Trojan in the fake 2.00 downgrader. Besides, nothing could have been executed through transferring a video.
My advice, first reinstall OE if it continues, then, have Sony look at it if it's that big of a problem. (Bye bye, homebrew. ) |

(Example: Like switching from 3.40 OE-a to 3.03 OE-c) |

| | | | I took Your advice and reinstalled the oe and it boots up fine now,
and so far havn't had any problems! Don't know what the heck happened!
I didn't think a virus could actually execute from a downloaded video, but when I was just downloading it that was first thing I thought!
Thanks again! (and sorry about the double posting, browser had a fit) |
