Mac/Windows help

Ok, so I recently found a Mac OS x installer disk on ebay, so i bought it
I know it is possible to install on a PC, because someone sent me a PM about a year ago telling me how to do it. I have deleted the PM since then, so i was hoping someone could tell me what to do
(I dont care about losing files, ect.)

Thanks

if u want to install it on x86 hardware, you have to use the osx86 project

i have all the files needed(i have it on my pc)

u need to do alot of steps

or just download this "tiger-x86.tar.bz2" from somewhere or on the internet
(my aim is cody aka classic)

and you extract that to c drive
make a 6gb hfs+ partition
(i used DSL live cd and made one with the terminal and cfdisk)
or use 'diskpart' in windows ( i oculdnt get that to work but if u do use create partition primary size=6660 id=af)

download dd for windows
dd for windows

extract to root of c drive

in the command prompt type in
dd if=c:tiger-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=512 skip=63 where harddisk2 and partition2 is your disk number, if you dont know open the disk management utility and look for somewhere that says harddisk # and partition #

dontnttt turn off your computer, it will tell you wen it is done

download chaino
http://riccardo.raneri.it/blog/eng/w.../08/chain0.rar

extract to c drive

edit your boot.ini
(Right-click on “My Computer” and select the “Advanced” tab. Under “Startup and Recover” click the “Settings” button. To edit the startup options file manually click the “Edit” button. Windows should open the boot.ini file in Notepad. Add the following line at the end of the file:
C:\chain0="Mac OS X"
(that text was quoted from Andrew Escobar http://www.andrewescobar.com))

restart
IT WORKS!!!

(u need a sse2 or sse3 capable processor, most newer computers are)

the reason u cant use the cd u got is its a 68k or ppc cd, u need the x86 version
