Exclamation Having trouble loading UMD games on psp 3.40 OE-A

Hi every1. I have been having trouble loading my UMDs on 3.40 OE-A. I have been trying to load MLB the show game which requires 2.82 FW. The UMD is being read and all but won't start up. Also this is an American region game or USA game. It starts fine on DevHook. And also it used to work on my 3.30 OE be4 I upgraded. Plz some help me get it to work on 3.40 OE-A.

Huh... It must be a common prob then. Any1 else have any clue how to fix it? Or at least get it to work right on 3.40 OE-A.

Make sure the kernal is set to 1.50 in your configuration [recovery mode]. You can also turn on the setting 'NO-UMD'.

I don't think that will help much, daniwul, as they are UMD games.

I think it might be a problem with the region. Try messing with the region settings in the Configuration menu in Recovery. Then again, PSP games are typically region-free, so that might not work...

Yea I tried messing w/ the region settings. Didn't work. Maybe it is a bug in 3.40 OE-A or something. But weird though.

Yea tried that also. Didn't work either. It must be a bug in 3.40 OE-A or something. Hopefully in the next OE which will be 3.50 OE-A, this will be fixed. But it weird that it used to work on 3.30 OE-A but now it doesn't work on 3.40 OE-A. :-/

Re-install your firmware.

The only solution left is to reinstall your firmware and try running the UMD's without any Configuration settings to turned on. If it still doesn't work, toggle the settings.
