Bricked 3.40 OE-A??

I think I've bricked my PSP which had D_A's Custom firmware 3.40 OE-A. I was using the internet browser (Playing hobowars2.com ) when it suddenly turned itself off. The battery was nearly flat and i think someone may have turned my wireless router off.

I have on many occasions allowed by battery to run out will on the internet on my PSP, but now when i go to turn in on, the power button flashes for a millisecond then nothing. The light on the memory stick doesnt flash nor does the UMD driver start.

Yes i have charged my battery up. Ive even tried it in another PSP and it works fine. Ive tried turning it on with the charger plugged and it still wont load up.

Can someone please tell me whats wrong. Cheers

OK, there's only one thing to do with a broken PSP - fix it! To do this you need to enter Recovery mode by holding R while your PSP is starting. If a blue screen comes up (the Recovery Mode), you will be able to recover your PSP. If not, you will need to get it chipped to make it work again.

So, the question is - does the Recovery Mode come up?

EDIT: This will only work if the flash0 is the problem - it might be something more vicious, like the power circuit (as djcopey mentions below).

sounds like your power circuit might be knackered, you could try all the usuals remove the battery (and let the internal run out) then try turning it back, maybe even try giving it a nudge.
p.s. when you charge it does the orange light come on? or is it just when you turn it on the green light just flashes, also have you tried it with and with out wifi on?

good luck

I tried recovery mode and it still flashes, Im starting to think its a power supply problem.

When i put the charger in the ornage light comes on.

If also given it a good nudging.

One tihnk i havent done properly is allow the internal run out. I left the battery out for about ten minutes and tried it with the same results. Ill leave it out over night and see what happens.

If it is the power circuit, will it be easy to purchase a replacement?

Edit:

Ok ive let the psp run down without a battery in it overnight, tried it again with battery, charger wifi on/off and all combinations of. Still no luck

Is the a way to tell if it is the power circuitry for definate?

And has anyone else got any ideas?
