It sounds like he is srewed!!!!!!!! Either tell he might hav to send it to $ony and they will fix it for him. Considering it still under warrenty. Just don't tell them exactly what happened. Extend the truth. Or get a UP mod chip and install it into the PSP. Or tell him to go back to the place wher he got and return it for a refund. And get another PSP.

Well, that's enough said; It's bricked ... I had a dumb-ass friend like that, except he bricked my PSP. I had my 3.40 OE-a recovery eboot, and then he was scrolling in my PSP and executed it, and then turned my PSP off, now it's bricked. I fixed that problem though, I got him to give me his ...
The bad part was that he bricked my silver metallic PSP, and now I have his boring black one...

yeah, and he kept tring to get a re-fund at target telling them that. So after he got his psp fixed, he didnt use that memory card thinking he would break it again.

if you broke it trying to do something for him (custom firmware etc) then its his own fault anyway.
p.s. you could borrow the stick off him "fix it" and give it him back and claim you fixed it for him and he'd thank you for a job well done
